Summary:
New squid packages available to fix FTP-based DoS "Denial of Service"
 

Description:
Certain FTP requests could cause the Squid daemon to abort, making it unavailable for a period of seconds. If enough of these requests are sent in a short period of time, the Squid daemon will not be restarted.

Taking Action:
You may address the issues outlined in this advisory in two ways:

    - log in to Red Hat Network at https://rhn.redhat.com and from the
      listing showing under 'Your RHN' select the affected servers and
      download or schedule a package update for that system.

    - run the Update Agent on the affected machine.

Security Advisory - RHSA-2001:072-14

Summary:
Updated man package fixing GID security problems.

Description:
Users could gain access to the GID man by overrunning a buffer in the
ultimate_source() function.

Users with GID man could get root access by creating man pages with
filenames containing escape characters.

Furthermore, the previous errata package hard coded Red Hat Linux 7.x man
paths even on Red Hat Linux 5.x and 6.x.
